New to the Vineyard | The Vineyard Church

Going to a new place for the first time can be a bit intimidating, especially a church!

You are invited to be our guest at one of our Sunday services where you can expect a friendly atmosphere (casual dress, friendly people, coffee or tea) in either of our beautiful turn-of-the-century buildings with engaging teaching, music and prayer that we hope you’ll find helpful in your spiritual walk.

Our services last about 60 minutes, starting with a time of worship using contemporary songs and styles, a talk based on the Bible and time to pray. We serve communion on the first Sunday of each month. A special class for children is available at each service at both the Lynbrook and Rockville Centre sites. Teens are welcome in the service. They have their own special meetings during the week. Click here for more details.

We’re a diverse church community of different races, ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, etc. You’re likely to meet people similar to and different from you all in the same visit.

All people are welcome at the Vineyard!

Here are some practical considerations when you visit.

Our service lasts from 60-65 minutes. Our music is contemporary, the sermon is practical and relevant to the issues people face, the dress is casual and you are always welcome to have a cup of coffee or tea.

Rockville Centre Campus

The Rockville Centre campus: Parking is located on the western side of the church building in the public parking lot. There is additional parking on the street and another public lot behind the post office.

The nursery is located in the rear of the building next to the bathrooms. There is a one-way glass so you can look in on your children and they will not be able to see you. If you feel more comfortable staying with your children you can view the service on the monitor and listen to the talk over the speakers.

The children’s space is located on the second floor and there is a check in kiosk located next to the bathrooms. You will be welcomed by one of our volunteers and given a tag to identify your children and make sure they are safe during the service. You can pick them up immediately following the service.

Lynbrook Campus

The Lynbrook Campus: All parking is on the street either Denton Ave, Merrick Road or Sunrise Highway.

The nursery is located in the rear of the sanctuary. If you wish to stay with your children during the service you can see the front of the sanctuary through the large glass located in the nursery.

The children meet in the gym which can be accessed through the main doors. After the service you can pick up your children in the gym.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions before your visit (office@thevineyardchurch.com, 516 678 7888, Facebook or Twitter) and please introduce yourself after the service.

We’d love to answer any questions you have and help connect you to groups, people and resources that you might find helpful.
